Aircraft arriving at Avalon Main direct from an airport outside Australia, or departing Avalon Main direct to an overseas destination airport are required to meet Australian Customs, Immigration and Quarantine procedures.
Because Avalon Main is not normally staffed as a Customs/Immigration and Quarantine airport, prior notice to and approval from the Organiser will be required. Customs/Immigration and Quarantine charges may apply and will be the direct responsibility of the aircraft operator.
Aircraft whose operation is not related solely to Airshow must obtain clearances through Avalon Airport Australia (see Jepps/AIPSUP for details).
Visiting military aircraft participating in the Airshow are, in addition to other documentation requirements, requested to arrange for a departure report to be emailed to aircraftoperations@amda.com.au and mwalden@amda.com.au.
General Declaration Requirements for visiting military aircraft are as per Commonwealth/SOFA agreement, viz:
- Military ID number
- Name
- Rank
- Date of Birth
- Place of Birth
- Nationality
- Gender
- Passport Number (would also be preferred).
Civilian passengers on visiting military aircraft must be notified as early as possible to aircraftoperations@amda.com.au and mwalden@amda.com.au.
A copy of the General Declaration Form is to be Emailed to mwalden@amda.com.au prior to arrival.
