The campsite is free to all volunteers, however non-volunteers will incur a fee of $30 per person per night.  Non-volunteers please refer to “Travel and Accommodation” on the website.

Arrival Procedures
All campers must report to the Campsite Administration office, which is located at the campsite entrance (not the Sporting Club entrance).

Bathroom Facilities
Mobile temporary structures consisting of toilets and hot showers are provided for all users of the campsite at no extra cost, however there are no power points available to use hair dryers or electric shavers.

The campsites are unpowered and you will need to provide your own camping equipment, such as tent (tent pegs are restricted to a maximum length of 250mm), campervan, caravan or mobile home, sleeping apparatus and all related materials.  Please note, generators, gas lanterns or gas BBQs are not be permitted due to fire restrictions imposed by the Country Fire Authority.

Campsite Application Form
If you have indicated on your volunteer registration form you require a campsite, the personnel office will send you the campsite application form plus the Terms and Conditions of using the campsite. 

Alternatively, you may download and complete the campsite application form and return to our office. 

Reservations for a campsite are essential.  Please refer to “Reservations” for further details.

Car Parking
On-site car parking will be available for all users of the campsite in a designated area adjacent to the campsite which you will be directed to on the day of arrival.

Sleeping in or beside vehicles is not permitted.  All vehicles will be parked in the campsite car park and not on the campsites.

Dates of Operation
The campsite will operate from Friday, 6 March to Monday, 16 March 2009.

Disabled Facilities
The permanent toilet/shower block has been reserved for those requiring disabled facilities.  Note:  All other toilets and showers will be mobile temporary structures.

Facilities at Lara
The campsite is located within walking distance to the centre of Lara which features a bakery, bottle shop, bank (CBA), butcher, cafés & take-away shops, chemist, fresh produce grocer, hairdresser, launderette, petrol station, post office, pub, supermarket, and many more specialty shops.

Facilities at the Campsite
The Lara Sporting Club features a fully licenced Bistro, bar area, gaming area, TAB, all in air-conditioned surroundings.

Fire Restrictions
Generators, gas lanterns or gas BBQs are not be permitted due to fire restrictions imposed by the Country Fire Authority.

Location of Campsite
The location of the campsite is the Lara Sporting Club, Lara Recreational Reserve, Mill Road, Lara (Melways Reference 423 D5) and is approximately 8.5km from Avalon Airport.

Lockers or storage facilities are not available at the campsite.

Reservations are essential and must be made by completing the volunteer campsite booking form and returned to our office at:

Rubbish Bins
There will be sufficient numbers of rubbish bins located around the campsite.

Licenced security personnel will patrol the campsite.

Transportation between the campsite and the Airshow is provided by our Event Transport Group, and a daily shuttle bus service operates from 6am-10pm supplemented by an "as needed" extra servicing and is Free of Charge.

Waste Removal
Waste removal will be in place, however please refer to the “Conditions for Use of Campsite – Facilities Availability & Use” for caravans and campervans.
