The Australian International Airshow and Aerospace & Defence Exposition will incorporate a broad range of international conferences, seminars and symposia.

Avalon2011 will feature a comprehensive program of international conferences, seminars and symposia, including the prestigious Air Chiefs Symposium.

This major international gathering of Air Chiefs is a prelude to the Airshow and brings together senior Air Force and Defence representatives from around the world.

In addition to the Air Chiefs Symposium, the 14th Australian International Aerospace Congress will be staged. This pre-eminent aerospace forum will provide significant technical and business opportunities for aerospace professionals, particularly in the Australasian region.

Associated conferences incorporated with the AIAC 14 include: -

14th Australian Aeronautical Conference
7th DSTO International Conference on Health & Usage Monitoring
3rd Asia-Pacific International Symposium on Aerospace Technology

AUVS-Australia will also host its first annual conference in conjunction with the Airshow. This new event will focus on the future unmanned capabilities for Australia in both military and civil applications.

The Air Traffic Control Association is organising an international Summit focusing on the latest developments and future direction of civil and military air traffic control.

An Aviation Safety Symposium organised by SAFESKIES will be conducted at Avalon during Airshow week. Sessions will include safety in military flying, current accident trends and issues and GA safety.

Defence Science Technology Organisation - DSTO will also run a Symposium focusing on technology in the service of Air Power.
