Avalon Main
Avalon Main aircraft parking is divided into three sectors:
- North - primarily for invited aircraft, performers and large display aircraft.
- Centre - primarily for Exposition commercial exhibitors.
- South - primarily for military static displays.
Hardstand
Hardstand parking at Avalon Main is limited. Accordingly, preference will be given to participant aircraft greater than 5700 Kg that cannot be parked on grass areas. Assigned hardstand positions will be displayed on the aircraft operators profile/forms.
Grass Parking Areas
General Aviation participant aircraft will generally be parked on grassed areas. Participant aircraft selected by their Association as part of an Association static display will be directed to that area on arrival. All other participant aircraft will be parked sequentially (under marshaller supervision/assistance) on arrival.
Avalon East
Avalon East has grass parking areas for up to 500 aircraft. Airshow marshallers will assist aircraft to park sequentially.
Aircraft remaining overnight will be directed to a separate area; advise this requirement after landing.
A passenger drop-off/pick-up area will be available at the passenger terminal area.
After securing your aircraft, proceed to the shuttle bus area at the passenger terminal area for free transport to Airshow Entrance area.
